Turnkey conversion of an existing altitude facility to a marine gas turbine development test facility.

Key features:

• Infrastructure for growth to 60 MW capacity
• Test environment replication of marine propulsion package
• Rail transportation system for quick engine package installation and removal
• Waterjet simulation capability
• Over 1000 channels of up to 200Hz steady-state and transient
  data measurement

This facility has been designed with features to promote quick engine change out to accommodate future production testing for the MT30 and MT50 engine.

Capabilities:

• Current capacity 40MW
• Inlet air heating to 40°C above ambient
• Rolls-Royce MT30 with provisions for MT50

MDS scope of work:

MDS was responsible for all aspects of this turnkey project, including project management and building design and construction.
